Crossing the Rocky Mountains with VIA Canada
Boarding VIA Rail Canada, I departed from Vancouver, watching as the scenery outside gradually shifted from the neon glow of the city to the vast, boundless wilderness. The train passed through coniferous forests and valleys, with snow-covered mountains standing silently in the distance, as if time itself had frozen.

Traveling through the Rocky Mountains, the world outside was enveloped in silence, broken only by the rhythmic hum of the train wheels against the tracks and the gentle sound of falling snow. The snowy plains, frozen rivers, and mist-covered lakes painted a winter landscape seen only in fleeting moments. Inside the train, travelers were absorbed in the breathtaking scenery, occasionally lifting their cameras to capture these ephemeral sights.
Upon arriving in Jasper
Upon arriving in Jasper, light snow continued to fall over this small town, surrounded by towering peaks. Standing on the platform, I was greeted by a world of silver and white, with thick snow weighing down the pine branches—serene and dreamlike. During the brief stop, I wandered along snow-covered paths, breathing in the crisp air. Every sight before me was a pure blend of white and deep mountain hues, like stepping into a timeless fairytale.
As the train resumed its journey, the deep blue sky melted into soft gradients. After nearly 30 hours, I finally arrived in Evansburg. There was no noise here, only the tranquil snow-covered landscape and the biting chill of the winter night. Though the journey seemed to be reaching its end, I found myself already planning the next adventure.
This journey was both the passage of time and its quiet suspension. Every scene along the way has etched itself vividly into my memory.
