Jordan – Gazing Upon the Land of Canaan from Mount Nebo

LITZ6262

As a traveling documentary photographer accompanying a Christian pilgrimage group, I arrived in Jordan, where history lingers in the air. From the summit of Mount Nebo, I gazed westward at the land of Canaan, where ancient prophecies once unfolded. Along the journey, I captured fleeting moments—the Bedouin shepherd guiding his flock across the road, a young girl standing beside her donkey, watching us with quiet curiosity. Finally, I reached the banks of the Jordan River, at the very site where Jesus was baptized, observing the interplay of faith and the present world. This journey was not merely a religious pilgrimage, but an exploration of culture, history, and the echoes of time.

As spring began to awaken Banff

LEI08830 1

In late April, as Banff awakened to spring, I took the gondola up Sulphur Mountain, marveling at the panoramic views of the Bow River, Cascade Mountain, and Banff Springs Hotel. The melting snow revealed stunning contrasts of color, creating an unmatched natural palette. Venturing beyond town, I explored the serene lakes and trails, embracing Banff’s breathtaking beauty. However, I regretted not choosing to stay and experience life in this remarkable place. Banff is not only a scenic destination but a paradise for working holiday travelers. For those seeking adventure, don’t hesitate—seize the opportunity before it slips away.
